News: Man given ticket for paying hosiptal bill with 2,500 pennies

A man from Utah who disputed his $25 dollar medical bill paid with 2,500 in pennies. After inconveniencing staff with inappropriate handling of strewn coinage. The police was called and cited the man with a disorderly conduct ticket.
Personally I think this was a waste of police man power. I’m not saying the man conducted himself tactfully but if he had thrown a $20 and a $5, I think they would have just pick up the money and called it a day. If the Utah man was being disruptive then what happen to calling security and having him put out.
I don’t think we should be issued a ticket every time we have a bad day. I think he should have gotten a warning. And if he did it again then maybe a ticket would be needed to deter his behavior.

  1. You’re so right. By making a bigger stink out of it, they played into his hands. Money’s money.
